For guests that require transportation, Villa on the Bay's exclusive, luxury vehicle is available for pick up from Nelson airport – please advise in your enquiry should you require further details. Whether as a group of friends, family, small conference or gathering, Villa On The Bay at Pohara Beach in Golden Bay can accommodate all your needs.
Villa On The Bay is a self-catering accommodation, and only available by booking the entire house (two night minimum stay, seven night minimum Dec 15 to Jan 31st).
The accommodation is on two levels with one kingsize ensuite, the open plan living, dining and kitchen areas on the upper deck level.
Living spaces are generous with stunning views across Golden bay and the neighbouring 9-hole golf course.

Golden Bay has many beautiful places to see. Take a guided sea kayak tour or rent a freedom kayak and paddle to the Tata Islands, explore the coastline, limestone arches and cliffs laden with shags.
New Zealand's biggest freshwater springs, Te Waikoropupu (Pupu) Springs.
Tramping the Abel Tasman's coastal track or Kahurangi National Park's Heaphy Track. Or try the day tramp along the Kaituna gold mine track. Native bush, forest and limestone formations are here to explore.
Maybe a horse trek on Farewell Spit.
Wainui Falls at the edge of the Abel Tasman National Park.
Rock climbing at the renowned Paton's Rock reserve.

They say Golden Bay is two hours and thirty years away from the rest of New Zealand. Such is its relative isolation. The nearest major town being Nelson.
Villa On The Bay is a leisurely 2 hour drive from Nelson airport. This is a picturesque drive and there is some stunning scenery along the way. Nelson Airport connects with New Zealand's international airports.

Please note: A deposit for the first night's accommodation will be deducted from your credit card to secure your booking. Payment for accommodation to be made in full 14 days prior to arrival.
The deposit will be refunded should you cancel your booking up to 21 days before your arrival date. Any cancellation within 21 days of your arrival will regretfully mean your deposit cannot be refunded.
