Great location to explore all of Phuket from
We have been coming to The Loch for a number of years now and always have a great time. We have been steadily working through a list of restaurants to visit around Phuket, which is probably a shame as we have never made proper use of the kitchen facilities. Some of our friends question not staying at a beachside place, but we actually prefer this location as it doesn't restrict us to one particular beach or part of the island. It's right at the centre of the main routes through Phuket, so we can handpick beaches and also have all the shops and 'nightlife' areas nearby, as well as the west coast of Phuket for the boat trips out to the islands and Phang-Nga area.

Private, child friendly and secure
Lots of people comment about the peace and quiet here, but I was impressed by how much there is to do and within easy reach. It is a great place for children, as it's very secure and suitably child-friendly with plenty on hand to keep them interested. Our little girl was fascinated by the water feature alone! The layout of the rooms gives that sense of staying in a resort as you get privacy, whilst still having communal and social areas. I like that idea and it works well here. A great place for entertaining - I would like to come back with a bigger group of people some day.

Great design and location
We have stayed at The Loch a couple of times now and always enjoy it. It's extremely well-located on the island, with everything within easy and convenient reach, and yet the villa area is remarkably peaceful and quiet. Compared to places we have stayed previously in Phuket, we found the villa very well designed and appointed, and the office staff (especially the security guard!) are extremely helpful. I particularly like the pool - the privacy, a good size for lengths, and not too deep (I'm not a brave swimmer). Our grandchildren's swimming came on tenfold while they stayed here with us.

Fantastic location and great golf
We had only been to Phuket once before where we stayed at a hotel as part of a package. Coming to The Loch was a completely different experience, and we feel we got to know and see far more of the island this time round. Because of its location, much more of the island was accessible, and we could pick and choose what we went to see. The golf courses at The Loch are not only strikingly beautiful, but also very challenging, and made a pleasant change from the expensive, crowded [and ultimately inferior] courses in Singapore. Would definitely come back, it has cast Phuket in a completely different light.

Extremely peaceful and relaxing
We came to stay at The Loch for a few days after sailing around Phuket and the islands for 2 weeks and it far exceeded our expectations. Extremely peaceful and relaxing, all the rooms well equipped and clean, and the provision of all the mod cons was a godsend. Next time we will make sure to book more days, as it was all over too soon!
