Hortensia Cottage Hortensia Cottage is a traditional 3 bedroom stone cottage in the quiet village of Siran in the famous Minervois wine region of southern France close to Carcassonne.
The ground floor of Cherry Tree Cottage consists of an open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area, designed so the whole family can join in with the holiday.
It is a very bright, sunny room with 3 large picture windows and exposed oak beams. It also has a log burner in the living room, perfect for cosy Autumn evenings.
Cherry Tree Cottage is a comfortable, well equipped cottage for 6 people.
The first floor has a shower room and 3 bedrooms, 2 double rooms and a room with bunk beds. All bedrooms have granite walls and beautiful exposed oak beams.
There is a separate patio at the side of the cottage, with garden furniture, sun canopy and BBQ, this leads to the shared pool and large communal patio area.
Our cottages in Brittany are set in two and a half acres of gardens with open views over undulating farmland.
The communal patio area has a brick BBQ, the ideal place for parents to get to know one another, while the kids play. We have had many an enjoyable evening on the terrace.
The ottage has a thorough clean before you arrive, we request you leave it as you found it.
If you wish to pack and go we offer to clean for you at a cost of 45€, payable before departure.
Surrounding Area:
Brittany has the longest coastline in France and therefore there are miles of unspoilt sandy beaches. A coastal footpath makes it almost possible to walk the entire length from Mont St Michel in the North to Saint Nazaire.
Inland Brittany is less well trodden that its coast and the beautiful countryside is full of history, heritage and legends. Take time to explore the diverse landscapes of farmland, woodland, rivers, canals and lakes.
St Malo - An old port with a walled town full of seafood restaurants, souvenir shops and pedestrian ramparts that offer fantastic views of the port and the miles of sandy beaches.
Cancale - A small picturesque fishing town, famous for its oysters and seafood, plus there are some wonderful walks along rugged coastal paths.
Mont St Michel - The 8th wonder of the world. A magnificent abbey perched on an island joined to the mainland by a causeway. The abbey stands above a village, which is full of shops and restaurants, it is spectacular at night.
Rennes - The capital of Brittany, The beautiful 17th century Palais de Justice and medieval Place des Lices (Jousters Square) are well worth a visit for the half-timbered buildings.

A €150/£100 deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance is due 8 weeks before arrival along with the security deposit. A €200/£150 security deposit is required per cottage, this will be refunded to you after you leave providing the cottage has been left in a reasonable condition and there are no breakages.
If the cottage has not been left in a reasonable condition then €100/£75 will be deducted to cover costs.
