Cross country skiing trails and dog sledging available. Summer season- walking and biking trails right on the doorsteps. Huge choice of outdoor activities(horse riding, climbing, rafting available nearby). There is more than 5 good traditional restaurants within 15 minutes drive(our favorite is Holica ). Enjoy stunning terrace and balcony views, total quietness and peace of this place. There are 4 water parks nearby, great fun for children and adults. Caves, rivers, lakes, historic towns. How to get there
Flying to the chalet is easy. You can fly to :
Krakow (Poland) - 1 hours 50 minutes away. Fly from Gatwick, Bristol, Luton, Liverpool, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Birmingham. Airlines who fly into Krakow are Easyjet, Ryan air and Jet2...very good prices
Bratislava - 3 hour 45 minutes from Chalet. Fly from London Stansted, Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Liverpool or Luton with Ryan air...very good prices
Katowice (Poland) - 2 hours 50 minutes away. Fly from London Stansted or Birmingham with Ryanair. Luton or Doncaster with Wizz....good prices
It is possible to take a train from Bratislava to Liptovský Mikulaš and then a taxi to the chalet although car is advised.
A further option(for those who want to see one of cities nearby) is:
-fly to Vienna with BA or Austrian and then 4 hours car or train journey
-fly London to Budapest with BA or Malev and then 5 hours car or train journey
If you would like to combine mountains with short city seeing this can be excellent option.
-fly from London to Prague(BA or Czech Airlines) and than to Poprad airport with Czech Airlines.
Poprad is 45 minutes away from the chalet.
Please be aware that snowchains are necessary in winter months!
